NEW YORK PUBLIC LIBRARY—Author Jonathan Rosen will discuss his New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and The Atlantic Top 10 Book of 2023 The Best Minds with Julie Sandorf on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library (SNFL).

A story about friendship, love, and the price of self-delusion, The Best Minds explores the ways in which we understand—and fail to understand—mental illness. It is a story about the bonds of family, friendship, and community; the promise of intellectual achievement; and the lure of utopian solutions. Tender, funny, and harrowing by turns, at times almost unbearably sad, The Best Minds is an extreme version of a story that is tragically familiar to all too many. At this event, Jonathan Rosen will discuss the book with Julie Sandorf of the Charles H . Revson Foundation.
